Agroecoturism

In harmony with nature…
At Hacienda Los Nacimientos we invite you to enjoy tourism in a different way.  Discover the natural scents of the countryside, travel down the path of ancestral indigo plantations and admire the fruits of the earth.

Experience the sweet scent of sugar cane, hibiscus flower and ripe cashew marmalades; travel down the path and find yourself engulfed in the sweet aroma emanating from homemade hibiscus flower and cashew drinks and wine.  Discover the mystic trail of oils and spices such as ginger, lemon grass and Drumstick Tree (Moringa oleifera).

Aromas that awaken like the dawn in the meadows, flavors that tempt a taste of the fruit of our land and   ancient colors from the history and culture of El Salvador are all first-hand experiences you will have at Los Nacimientos.

These are sites designed to explore with all your senses.  Smell and taste are stimulated by aromas and flavors; sight is inspired by the curiosity about the history and culture of this place, and finally touch, which will aid in making the decision on what products to take home as souvenirs and later relive this wonderful experience.

One cannot forget the sense of hearing, when listening to the whisper of the wind and the birds singing, as you stroll along the path or ride in an old-fashioned wagon.

Enjoy the taste of the countryside, only a few steps from the city. Rediscover how this ancient crop-- indigo, which was used by the Mayans, germinates and grows. Take a step back in time and witness the process of extracting, drying, milling and final packing of indigo dye, the way it has been done for generations.
